Learning through exposures

Learning through exposures

Education is the process of facilitating learning or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, moral beliefs, and habits. Education helps a person to get knowledge and improve confidence level throughout the life. I am constantly learning and improving myself time and again through exposure to different learning friendly environments.

I am a part of the Hakuna Matata program where we not only learn things theoretically but also practically. There we get to learn public speaking skills, leadership skills, time management group work and many more. Hakuna Matata not only facilitates workshops for us but also connects us with different exposure programs. Recently, my teachers from Hakuna Matata gave me an opportunity to be a part of a knowledge sharing program.

Through this opportunity,  I got to be a part of a panel discussion organized by ‘Sutra for Leaders’ on the topic “Leading in Crisis”  on 7th and 8th August, 2021. When I got a call from one of the facilitators of Sutra for Leaders, I was a little scared and confused. I was nervous to join the orientation meeting as well. But as I got to hear everyone’s opinions and started keeping my own thoughts on the topic, all the confusion and nervousness vanished.  Although I faced difficulty in speaking properly some of the time, due to poor  network connection, I am satisfied with my participation.  I loved how I was exposed to meaningful discussion and got an opportunity to listen to the voice of students from different places. All of the participants were from different schools and places so it was really amazing to hear different opinions about the development of the education sector and their aim to do something for their country. It was a fun experience to get along with participants and hear their unique and intelligent opinions. Overall, it was an experience that taught me a lot and provided me with a chance to widen my knowledge.

I want to thank SAATH for giving me such a wonderful platform to learn and grow. I also would really like to express my gratitude to the Sutra for Leaders for guiding me throughout the session.
