“Leadership mainly focuses on 3 categories of positive development; development of self, development of identity and development of the community.” The workshop will be directly linked with the previous workshop of Year 1: Public Speaking. The workshop simultaneously will create that transition to ensure the beneficiaries will understand the importance of leadership. The workshop will focus on body language, group cohesion, effective communication, creative thinking and personality development.
As the children have already received a one week long extensive boot camp on “leadership” at the Leadership academy in year 1, they will have a lot of enthusiasm for the workshops of year 2. There are a lot of fun activities for the children which will not only help to build their leadership skills but will also help them learn on how to work in a group and under the leadership of someone else.
Traditionally leadership was taken as an innate characteristic but today it is believed that with much time, effort and correct guidance anyone who wants can be a leader. Leadership doesn’t only need to be commercial and at a high scale! Leading the routine of who will do what chore at home can also be the beginning of a leader towards success. These small instances in leading will prepare the children for future macro level leadership opportunities and we are certain to provide such experience oriented learning to our beneficiaries!
