Danfe’s summer trend: Part 1. Kimono Inspired Outer

Danfe’s summer trend: Part 1. Kimono Inspired Outer

Danfe started out its summer by introducing kimono inspired outers or Kimono Cardigans to be more precise. They ended up being one of our best sellers as it is lightweight and breezier but chic. You can style kimono cardigans with either dresses, pants, shorts or throw it over swim suits. It is easy to style, which makes it a “go-to item” for many people during summer.

Kimono is actually a Japanese traditional garment which is something like a full-length robe: A traditional kimono’s hem falls to the ankle and has long wide sleeves, which is wrapped around the body and secured at back with a belt called “obi”. But unlike the traditional kimono, Danfe’s kimono cardigans reflect more casual style. For instance, they come in various fabrics and lengths. At Danfe, we use satin silk, rayon, chiffon, etc. and knee length kimono is mostly produced. Although the sleeves are wide, which may become uncomfortable to carry out day to day activities, the sleeves are slightly slanted and quarter length which makes working easier. Even though we have given our own touch at these kimono cardigans, they can be customised at customer’s demands. The outer has been carefully tacked in, which portraits simplicity and elegance at it’s best.
