"We stand for what we believe in"
Welcome to our monthly Newsletter: JULY ISSUE
The lockdown has surely been lifted. As we are slowly trying to get ourselves back to normalcy, many challenges still lie ahead of us. Despite these challenges around us we are trying our best to take our programs ahead with minimum roadblocks on the way. We understand that the situation is quite nerve racking but we recognize it well.
PROGRAM UPDATE
AWASAR

As of today, we have been able to reach 222 direct beneficiaries and 1110 indirect beneficiaries through our program Awasar. Currently, we are employing 8 women within the valley as tailors in training in collaboration with our sustainability partner Danfe Works Enterprise Nepal.

The Tailoring and Mithila Art training for the third batch of beneficiaries in Dhanushadham, Province 2 is soon to commence from the coming month. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, our field team is trying their best to begin the new batch of training with all the needed precautionary measures.
HAKUNA MATATA

With Hakuna Matata, we have reached 61 direct beneficiaries and 305 indirect beneficiaries up until this date. The 11 children from the valley whom we are providing with leadership training are attending twice a month sessions online from the safety of their homes. They have been trained in brainstorming, ideation, and feasibility studies which are essential practices of a leader.

Our pilot project for the Musahar children in Dhanushadham will commence soon. Our project strategy for the children is taking a clear shape as we have had multiple brainstorming sessions around the project not just among ourselves but with like-minded organizations that keep children and education at the center of their work.

The children at Hakuna Matata engaged in a virtual session on Leadership skills.
Message from the Team
Mr. Bijeysh Ranjit, Director of Development and Administration

We have faced several challenges since the pandemic began in early 2020. Restrictions, Lockdown, and COVID 19 infections had compelled us to modify our work style. It's much more difficult for a growing organization like ours, as we work with limited human and financial resources. Our work has become increasingly stagnant for the last year. Several of our initiatives were suspended during Lockdown, and the energy required to resume and continue them is substantial. The past year and a half have been a continual endeavor to keep the work we undertake afloat. Our primary focus was on ensuring the organization's and programs' long-term viability. We ensured that our employees were safe and that they were working in a stress-free environment while continuing to work. It had not been an easy journey. We've made major adjustments in terms of human resources and operational expenses to ensure our organization's long-term viability. However, the situation does not yet appear to be over yet. We are aware that this situation may persist as the pandemic is not yet over and there is still a long way to go.

Regardless of the pandemic or the hurdles, our partners' and supporters' steadfast support has always been a source of encouragement for us. We'd want to take this time to thank them all for standing with us in the face of such adversity. Our team is enthusiastic, and we've been working hard to make a difference in the areas we serve. We look forward to flourishing and prosper as an organization, and to continue making an impact by reaching out to more and more disadvantaged people. We are excited to forge new alliances, establish new partnerships, reach out to new communities, and continue on our path of growing together and making a difference.
