Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All Menstrual Health and Hygiene are crucial aspects for all women and girls. Menstrual Health and Hygiene are important components of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for all women and girls.  Right to Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Act, 2018 of Nepal clearly defines Reproductive health as physical, mental and social health conditions related to the reproductive system, process and function. Sexual and Reproductive health issues are considered a leading cause of death and illness for women and girls of growing age. Greater barriers to sexual and health services are visible as a result of SRHR being a subject of taboo and for absence of knowledge and information. Danfe Works is the Sustainability Partner of SAATH. The collaboration between the two entities is not just limited to training and employment for SAATH's project participants and its stakeholders but also for a wider group of workers who are key players for Danfe. In light of the partnership, SAATH and Danfe organized a facilitated session on Menstrual Health and Hygiene for the first time in Dhanushadham, Janakpur in 2022. The collaboration supported 25 women through a workshop and access to menstrual hygiene products.  This time the collaboration supported 15 women from the manufacturing unit of Danfe Works. The women working to deliver products at Danfe participated in a 90 minute-long information and knowledge session on SRHR and distributed a menstrual kit designed and produced by Danfe Works.  Menstrual Kit by Danfe The Menstrual Kit by Danfe is a pouch containing menstrual underwear, regular underwear, a piece of cloth, and soap, all essential during monthly periods for women. To ensure access to these products, Danfe collaborates with SAATH, supporting not only the workshop but also serving as a production partner for the contents of the menstrual kit. The design on the pouch depicts a Mithila woman releasing a bird, symbolizing women's freedom and dignity in making decisions and negotiating terms to assert their bodily autonomy and rights. This collaboration between SAATH and Danfe represents a long-term partnership. Together, we aim to engage with women's communities to enhance their knowledge and understanding of SRHR while providing access to products that help them stay confident during challenging times.
