Inela Kovacevic x SAATH

Inela visited Nepal last year and during her brief visit, we had an opportunity to interact with her. The meeting was brief but we knew at that moment that we had to collaborate somehow. Inela was curious about our work and was open to collaboration. After going back to China, Inela shared her experiences with her students from Zhuhai International School, where she works as a Visual Arts Teacher. Along with her students, Inela planned a fundraiser to support SAATH activities. The results are incredible and in this issue, we will showcase some of her work from the Fundraiser.

The fundraiser according to Inela was a great success owing to the contribution from the students who worked tirelessly for days to come up with products to showcase and sell. It was very heartwarming to see such an engagement from the students from Zhuhai International School.

According to Inela, the students were very interested and happy to learn about different kinds of art and they were very receptive to the traditional art form they got to learn. They were genuinely interested in the cause and felt good they could do something to support the community here.
