AWASAR

Cycle for Commute

As a significant number of our Batch E beneficiaries come from distant villages where the modes of transportation are limited, we provide bicycles to make their commute to the training center easier.

Women in Election

In collaboration with Women NGO Federation and Sankalpa Nepal, SAATH facilitated an intensive and meaningful discussion on the participation of women in the upcoming election. The program witnessed participation from various political parties, organizations, and potential voters. The guest speakers for the event represented a local organization, Setu Gurans, a member of Dhanushadham municipality and a former election candidate.

HAKUNA MATATA

Capacity-building

An interactive and participatory monthly workshop was conducted for the children of Hakuna Matata. The workshop focused on the skills such as group work, assertiveness, analyzing social skills, and leadership role. The major highlight of the workshop was to help children instill the skill to deliver presentations to a group of people.

Parahu

This month we piloted Parahu- Capacity Building at Parahu Learning Center with 15 children. The project is an adaptation of our existing project, Hakuna Matata- Capacity Building which provides children with workshops to build skills such as 'Public Speaking', 'Leadership Skills', 'Social Skills', 'Higher Order Thinking Skills, and 'Career Building'.

We are still raising funds for Hakuna Matata and Parahu on the GlobalGiving platform. The support received will directly be used to facilitate the capacities of the children and facilitators in Janakpur and Kathmandu.
