AWASAR

In collaboration with the local government, the beneficiaries of the new batch of Mithila Art in support of their trainer, painted the walls of Janakpur this month. With the objective to promote Mithila Art, our beneficiaries painted Mithila Art on the walls and buildings of Ward number 12 and 15 of Janakpur.

We also conducted a rapid assessment in 101 households of Dhanusa municipality to determine and assess the socio-economic condition of the Musahar community. The collected information will be evaluated to design an effective intervention model.

HAKUNA MATATA

Capacity-building

This month, our interns organized a brief informal rapport building session with selected children of Hakuna Matata in a park. The rationale for such sessions was to provide children with a space where they can be themselves and enjoy their childhood.

Parahu

We are now ready to conduct the capacity building workshop for the children of Parahu Learning Center. These workshops will emphasize on developing core soft skills such as public speaking, inter and intra personal skills, enhancing group work and leadership skills for the children of Dhanushadham. Before the workshop, a TOT for the facilitators will be conducted.

We have been able to raise $ 262 for the 11 children of Hakuna Matata so far. We still need more funds to support the capacity-building workshop for our children. The funds collected will support the workshops on Social Skills for a year.
