AWASAR

Bicycle Distribution

We recently distributed bicycles to some of the beneficiaries from Batch D of Mithila Art and Tailoring Training. For this batch we have beneficiaries attending the training from distant villages with no option to walk for commuting. Owing to this problem, we provided bicycles to the beneficiaries of Mungraha and Rampur villages.

We have begun a Rapid Assessment Test at the communities of our work to understand the changing needs and market in Dhanushadham. The community mobilizer in support of the facilitators of Parahu Learning Center has been leading the process.

HAKUNA MATATA

Capacity Building

Workshop

This month we organized a workshop on emotional regulation for the children of Hakuna Matata. The workshop emphasized on growth mindset and fixed mindset through activity based methods of learning. The workshop helped children to understand their mindset and develop an insight on measures to develop a growth mindset

Homevisit

We also went on a home visit with two of our children this month. The visit provided us with an opportunity to assess the psycho-social environment of our children as well as helped us in fostering healthy relationships with the children and their family members.

PROJECT PARAHU

Two children from Hakuna Matata- Capacity building conducted a stationery drive at Pragati Siksha Sadan in Kupondole for the children in Dhanushadham. More than 250 children attending the learning center have been receiving stationery supplies every month. The stationery collection is also being supported by the schools based in Kathmandu.

To support the community of children for a sustained and longer period, we are still raising funds for the learning center. The fund raised will support 190 children along with the 3 facilitators of a Musahar community who visit the learning center every day to conduct literacy classes for the children in the community.
