AWASAR

TOT on Business Management and Financial Literacy

We organized a 2-day TOT on Business Management and Financial Literacy this month. The participants were community leaders and project associates for the training center in Dhanushadham. SAATH has been providing a 6 month-long Tailoring and Mithila Art Basic and Advanced Level training since 2019 and in our attempt to support the past beneficiaries of the vocational training to initiate and explore various business opportunities, this TOT was facilitated to the community leaders to exchange knowledge on the TOT at a later stage.

HAKUNA MATATA

Basic Level Mithila Art Lesson

Mithila Art for children started this month for the children of Parahu Learning Center with the intention to create awareness about the art form among the upcoming generation. With the art form becoming unfamiliar among the newer generation, it is imperative that the foundation of Mithila Art remains the same across the Mithila region of Nepal. The Basic level class is being facilitated by our past beneficiary who trained for a year in Mithila Art. The 15-week long course will introduce the children to Mithila Art and its significance while supporting their skills in art making.

We are still raising funds for Hakuna Matata and Parahu on the GlobalGiving platform. The support received will directly be used to facilitate the capacities of the children and facilitators in Janakpur and Kathmandu.
