11 Jul My traverse from DANFE – Sunita Mangrante
I started the tailoring training from 2016 at SAATH and believe me it got good! From knowing a little -to- knowing a lot more is what I’ve been feeling. Going with the curriculum and making a habit for myself has been a challenge, but I didn’t back down from it. For many years I’ve tried to find an opportunity to make things better for myself and my family. Difficult as it was, I didn’t give up and an opportunity knocked on the door when I saw all the staffs of Danfe. They took me in and encouraged me to start a new life where I could learn and see all the possibilities finally gathering itself in front of me. Tailoring is a part of me now, starting from the scratch was ambitious and learning tailoring somehow became my passion. The daily based training, the sewing machines, the threads, the fabrics, everything had a new possibility for it just like me. It’s hard to see when your mind has a blur vision and suddenly when you see a vision so bright you’re excited every day!
“Tailoring is a part of me now, starting from the scratch was ambitious and learning tailoring somehow became my passion. The daily based training, the sewing machines, the threads, the fabrics, everything had a new possibility for it just like me.”
Now I’ve finished my training and making a living for myself at home! I come from Kavre and one day a month I collect all the raw materials from the production centre, I go home and start working on the products every day. With the tailoring training to making products such as clothes and bags might seem a lot less to few people but for me, it has become a life altering thing! Every day I give my time and effort for the products of Danfe, when you purchase the products we make, let me tell you one thing; you’re not only buying a product but you’re responding to our hard work and effort. When I visit the DANFE store and see the products that I made, it makes me feel proud that I’ve come so far and I know that I see a bright future for everyone who has been working at DANFE.
